Shenyang university (SYU) is a public comprehensive university, is located in the center of the northeast China's first big city – Shenyang, a beautiful environment for learning and life, adjacent to traffic pivotal of city, traffic is very convenient. History of the university can be traced back to “Fengtian Industry School” and “Xinmin Public School” established in 1906.

Shenyang University offers a complete range of subjects, covering 11 disciplinary areas, including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, technology, agriculture, management, and arts, etc. With undergraduate education as its mainstay, Shenyang University has developed a multi-layered and comprehensive mode of education to comprise postgraduate education, higher vocational education, continuing education and education for foreign students. At present, it has 18 schools, 64 undergraduate programs, 26 vocational training programs, 1 Dr. Program, 10 Level 1 discipline master, 6 graduate programs. And the University’s total enrollment is more than 30000.

In order to promote education collaboration, the University has established friendly relationship with over60 Universities in America, England, and French more than 20 countries.

In recent years, with the rapid development of foreign students education, international students structure optimized constantly, every year receive three hundred international exchange students for short or long-term language students, undergraduate students, graduate students. International students from countries including Russia, Mongolia, South Korea, Uganda, Spain, Colombia, Mexico and so on more than 40 countries.

Shenyang university is the examination site of national Chinese proficiency test (HSK), has the independent undertaking HSK network exam qualification, school has a "Shenyang university - tang Chinese HSK test with education practice base", has "the Chinese traditional culture scene lab" and "Qing cultural theme lab", pay attention to Chinese language teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language education together with traditional Chinese culture, pay attention to situational teaching and practice teaching.
